One killed, two injured in Landstar Boulevard crash

ORLANDO, FL - A 71-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in an Orange County crash on Tuesday, local news reports.

The victim was traveling north on Landstar Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and was struck by a southbound SUV.

He sustained major injuries and was transported to HCA Florida, where he was pronounced dead.

The 39-year-old driver of the SUV has been hospitalized with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. The passenger, a 12-year-old boy, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Nemours Children’s Hospital.

It is not clear what initially caused the victim to lose control of his vehicle.
