Nick Johnson is a Florida medical malpractice and personal injury lawyer who fights for individuals and families harmed by medical negligence, nursing home abuse, and serious injury throughout Palm Beach County, South Florida, and across the State of Florida.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Nick approaches every client relationship with respect, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to justice. Before dedicating his practice to representing individuals in civil litigation, Nick served as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County, where he defended clients charged with offenses ranging from misdemeanors to crimes punishable by life in prison.
During his tenure as a Public Defender, Nick tried approximately 30 jury trials to verdict, developing the courtroom skill, strategic judgment, and resilience that continue to define his advocacy today. In recognition of his trial excellence, he was awarded the Best Advocate Award at the Florida Public Defender College in November 2008.
Nick earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston University, a master’s degree from the University of Florida, and graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law.
Nick is a Partner with Osborne & Francis, where he focuses his practice on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, and serious personal injury cases, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
He represents clients throughout Palm Beach County and statewide, as well as select matters nationwide. Drawing on his background as a career trial attorney, Nick is relentless in aggressively pursuing accountability from negligent doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, and corporations.

Beyond his legal practice, Nick is deeply committed to service in his community. He has served on multiple Boards of Directors, including Scholar Career Coaching, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students prepare for education beyond high school. He previously served on his church’s Board of Trustees and remains actively involved in the church’s ongoing work and outreach.

Settlement on behalf of our client who did not receive timely medication in the Emergency Department to treat an evolving stroke, which left him with permanent injuries and neurologic deficits. The doctors and nurses involved failed to correctly diagnose his true condition and failed to administer clot-busting medication in a timely manner.
The claim was amicably resolved with all medical providers and their insurance companies prior to a lawsuit being filed.
Our 67-year-old client faced serious complications following hernia repair surgery. During recovery, he needed breathing and oxygen support. However, the physician chose an inappropriate method of respiratory support, opting for a mask with forced airway pressure instead of intubation. This misstep resulted in a tear in the client's esophagus, which the surgery had already weakened. Consequently, our client suffered catastrophic health issues, underwent additional surgery, and fortunately survived.
