He will also assist clients dealing with personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and premises liability matters.
A nationally recognized leader in Civil Rights law, Yohance previously served as the Deputy Chief of the Civil Division for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and was the Founder and Chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida’s Civil Rights Unit. In those roles, he led complex Federal investigations throughout 35 counties in Florida, serving a population of nearly 13 million people. Yohance spearheaded the launch of the Department of Justice’s “United Against Hate” initiative within the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and founded the Servicemembers and Veterans Working Group, the organization responsible for the creation of an essential legal rights and resources guide for servicemembers, veterans and their families.

Yohance will divide his time between Tampa and the firm’s Orlando and Lakeland offices. He joins Osborne, Francis & Pettis at a time of continued growth throughout Florida. Since the start of 2026, the firm has expanded its footprint by incorporating four medical malpractice attorneys through a merger with the Fort Lauderdale-based law firm Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm, and established a Trust, Estate & Guardianship Department in its Boca Raton office.
