Wrong-way crash on I-4 leaves 2 injured

ORLANDO, FL – Two drivers were sent to the hospital after a wrong-way collision on I-4 in the Fairview Shores area early Monday.

According to WKMG, the incident occurred as the driver of a 2012 Buick was heading east in the westbound lanes of the freeway near Fairbanks Avenue at about 3:20 a.m. and slammed head-on into a Ford pickup truck.

The Buick’s driver, a 28-year-old Orlando man, was transported to Orlando Health in critical condition. The other driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries. Both were wearing their seatbelts when the incident occurred.
