OSCEOLA CO., FL – A woman was killed and a man was airlifted to the hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Osceola County on Saturday morning.

According to WKMG, the crash occurred when the male driver was heading north on Florida’s Turnpike and lost control of his vehicle around 9:20 a.m.. The vehicle then veered off the road and slammed into a several trees.

A 59-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
