ORANGE CO., FL – A woman from Winter Garden was killed when her vehicle collided head-on with another near Horizon West on Monday evening.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the woman lost control of her sedan in the northbound lanes of SR-429 near Schofield Road. The vehicle then struck the median and entered the southbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a van.
A third vehicle then became involved in the crash, but it is unclear to what extent.
The driver of the sedan, a 27-year-old woman, was ejected upon impact. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she died a short time later.
The other two drivers involved were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
