ORANGE COUNTYH, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a young man died of his injuries after being struck by a car in Orange County last week.
According to WKMG the incident happened April 20 as two men, ages 18 and 21, were standing on the corner of Courtland Street and Adanson Street at about 11:30 p.m.
The FHP said the driver of a Honda Civic was trying to pass a Honda Accord on Courtland Street when it struck its rear bumper, causing the Civic driver to lose control, go off the road and hit the two men.
The 18-year-old died of his injuries last Friday at Orlando Health. The 21-year-old man suffered serious injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the Civic also was seriously injured.
There was no immediate word on whether either of the two drivers would be facing charges.
