Pedestrian walking dog in Casselberry struck and killed by hit-and-run driver

CASSELBERRY, FL – Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian in Seminole County Wednesday night.

According to WFTV, the crash occurred in the area of Eagle Circle and Shadow Oak Drive in Casselberry at about 8:15 p.m.

Casselberry police said a 63-year-old man walking his dog was crossing the street when he was hit by a silver Audi SUV.  The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The dog was not injured.

The driver involved left the scene and was last seen going west on Eagle Circle.  Police said later that they had located the SUV believed to have been involved, about a mile from the crash scene.

Police were said to be talking to the vehicle’s owner to determine who was driving when the crash occurred.
