Orlando woman dies after car crashes into tree in Ocoee

OCOEE, FL – A single-vehicle accident in west Orange County Friday morning left a driver dead, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman was driving a Nissan Armada on Ocoee Apopka Road near Demastus Lane in Ocoee when the crash occurred at about 4:40 a.m.

According to a witness who spoke with state troopers, the car was going north when it drifted off the road and crashed into a tree and then a fence.  The driver, a 37-year-old woman from Orlando, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the FHP.
