LAKE COUNTY, FL – State troopers said a man died in a motorcycle crash in Lake County on Saturday morning.
According to the Leesburg News, the accident happened on County Road 450 near West 9th Avenue in Umatilla at 10:41 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 64-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was unable to negotiate a left curve.
The motorcycle went off the roadway and overturned on the grass shoulder of the roadway. The motorcycle rider, a resident of Deland, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, investigators said.
The FHP is continuing its investigation into the crash.
