ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A man died after he was struck by an SUV in Orange County early Thursday morning, reports WKMG.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the man had driving a Honda sedan east on State Road 528 at about 4:30 a.m. when he lost control of the car near Universal Boulevard.
The vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned, and the driver was ejected onto the roadway. At that point he was run over by the driver of a Ford SUV who was unable to avoid him.
The Honda driver, who was not publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with further information about the incident was asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
The eastbound lanes of State Road 528 were shut down near the scene for the crash investigation.
