Driver killed when car drops from State Road 408 onto I-4 express lane

ORLANDO, FL – Police are investigating a car accident that killed a driver in downtown Orlando on Monday morning.

According to WKMG, the victim was identified as 24-year-old Arcadio Shakur-Dejesus.  Orlando police said he was driving west on Interstate 4 and exiting onto State Road 408 at about 10:30 a.m. when the vehicle went over a barrier and plunged onto I-4.  Investigators believe Dejesus was speeding at the time of the accident.

The express lanes of I-4 and the entrances from State Road 408 were shut down for about three hours for the crash cleanup and investigation, causing major traffic delays through the area.
