Car and semi-truck involved in fatal collision at Orange County intersection

ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A car and a semi-truck were involved in a fatal collision at an Orange County intersection on Monday afternoon, WKMG reports.

The Florida Highway Patrol was at the scene in the area of Oak Ridge Road and Rio Grande Avenue after the incident took place at about 12:50 p.m.

According to investigators, a man was driving a Toyota Camry east on Oak Ridge Road and entered the westbound lane for an unknown reason.  The Camry collided with a semi-truck.  The 26-year-old Camry driver was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.

The incident shut down Oak Ridge Road for the crash investigation.
