64-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicles in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was struck and killed in Orange County early Saturday morning, according to WKMG.

The victim was a 64-year-old man from Orlando.  Investigators said he was walking west across Orange Blossom Trail near La Quinta Drive when he was hit by a car sometime before 12:30 a.m.  After the man was lying in the ground, a witness said she believed that he was struck by at least two additional vehicles.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The FHP said the drivers of the vehicles that struck the man left the scene after the crash.  Anyone with information about the vehicles was asked to contact the FHP or Crimeline.
