OCOEE, FL – One person was killed and another injured when their car was involved in an accident in Ocoee early Thursday morning, police said.
According to WESH, the crash happened in the area of Wurst Road and Jamela Drive at about 1:30 a.m. Investigators said the driver of a Dodge Challenger got off Wurst Road and crashed into a power pole before striking the wall of a storage building.
A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The driver was hospitalized with what were reported to be severe injuries. The names of the two victims were not released.
The Ocoee Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the accident.
